My operatic story:

In may of 2010, my voice teacher, Meghan, got me an audition for portland opera! I was ecstatic! I worked very hard and learned an arietta cales "Nel cor piu non mi sento" (Why is my heart so dormant?). I sang my heart out for Robert Ainsley. I recieved a letter notification I had been cast in 2 shows and I was so excited! The following Seotember, I went into rehearsals, nervous, asking myself "What if im too tall?" and "Will everyone there know eachother?". The first day, I met my girly, Alli.

Our first staging, was on a rainy night in October. I was standing at the table doing the Knife and Fork dance. Gretel, who was standing next to me asked, "I heard you were diabetic and celiac, I am too" I was so happy! Maureen (Gretel) was so nice to me and I appreciated it greatly.

My dad came home bragging one day, saying "Your having dinner with Maureen! I called her and she said she wanted to!" This scared me, thinking, why in good sense would someone ever have dinner with a complete stranger in a town the don't know? Well, she did and we went to Andina. It was an awesome time and we spent 2 hours talking and exchanging stories! What an experience!

Overall, Hansel and Gretel was a life changing experience! How often does a 12 year old get perform at the Keller Auditorium? Turandot.... well, no words too describe it but, different?

Im off to opening night of Turandot. Wish everyone luck!
